The Site Icon

I made this some time ago.  I had the plan to make it into jewellery.  Copper and Brass were going to make the dual colours of the rose, a silver dove.  The leaf and stem of the rose have lime sulfur to add green, and the heart was to be made out of copper heated against another piece of copper to redden it.  To date I haven’t made it.

The picture itself represents “my journey”.  The heart is God, His love, and Jesus’ death on the cross.  The rose is my baptism, and the dove is the Holy Spirit, our helper.  The beautiful scented “City of Auckland”  or “Sutter’s Gold” rose, red/orange tinged yellow/apricot rose was given to me on the morning of my baptism, dressed in the white gowns of old, it sits in my memory, of my decision to follow God.
